I am drawn to the physicality of making a painting and the tactile engagement of materials.
I am interested in the language of color. My first association of sound-to- color synesthesia was during a performance of the American operatic soprano Beverly Sills. Musical notes pulled through my ears like colored satin ribbons.
Sensory-crossover influences painting decisions. I tend to work in series.
When there is emotional honesty in a work of art I am energized.
