I am drawn to the physicality of making a painting and the tactile engagement of materials. I am interested in the language of color and how it can hold and generate emotion. I work from a personal narrative that leans into themes of the natural world, strangeness, and beauty.
When there is emotional honesty in a work of art I am energized.
